Carmencita joins Starbucks to enrich the coffee ritual

Since October 2025, three of our most iconic spices — cinnamon, cocoa, and vanilla sugar — have been added to the Starbucks experience in 212 stores across Spain and Portugal. It’s another step forward in our commitment to bring flavour right to where the experience begins: beside a cup of coffee.

A partnership built on flavour, excellence and culture

This collaboration brings together two brands with different roots but deeply shared values: excellence, traceability, and an unwavering pursuit of quality in every detail. Starbucks, a global icon of the coffee culture, and Carmencita, Spain’s leading brand in natural spices and seasonings.

The partnership was born with a clear purpose: to offer customers more than products —to create an experience. From now on, visitors to Starbucks can personalise their drinks with Carmencita cinnamon, pure cocoa or vanilla sugar. Three simple, natural and unmistakable ingredients that elevate the flavour of coffee and turn it into a truly unique moment.

Quality from the very source

This collaboration stems from a shared quality standard. At Carmencita, the traceability of every spice begins at its origin. We travel to Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Indonesia and Madagascar to personally select the finest raw ingredients. Only then can we guarantee that every product meets the highest standards of taste, purity and food safety.

Our quality management system holds international certifications such as ISO 14001 and IFS, and includes our own allergen control programme. The three products now available in Starbucks are 100% gluten-free —a reflection of our ongoing commitment to coeliac consumers and to full transparency in food safety.

Carmencita is present in over 70 countries and operates Europe’s largest spice factory in Novelda (Alicante), with more than 30,000 m2 devoted to flavour. This collaboration with Starbucks marks another milestone in our international journey, placing our spices in an urban, cosmopolitan and premium setting —without ever losing our essence.
