Salt

The words ’salt and pepper’ are used to indicate the act of making something more flavourful, varied and innovative. If you customarily spice up your dishes, you know the importance of salt as a cooking ingredient. Salt is the only natural “edible” mineral.

Salt is of great interest in signature cuisine. As a result, we have different varieties and create unique mixtures at Carmencita: with truffle, pink from the Himalayas, hot, with curry, smoked, spring water, black, sea with herbs, mustard and peppers…

Coarse sea salt is the indispensable element for preparing salt-baked fish, but also for adding flavours of other spices or aromatic foods that are preserved in it. In this line of flavours we mix light sea salt with the spiciness of dried chilli peppers, the country aroma of Provençal herbs, the spicy flavour of curry or the strong flavour of the black truffle, among others.
