Carmencita collaborates with the Basque Culinary Center to teach industry professionals on the world of rice

26 jul. 2024

As a sponsoring company of Basque Culinary Center, one of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions in the gastronomic field, Carmencita has participated in the formation of “Rice: Paella, mellow, broths and dried”, contributing with the ingredients needed to cook each one of the elaborations which have been done on the course.

This training, which was directed to industry professionals, has given the students the opportunity of exploring the gastronomic richness of rice, getting to know the elaboration process, the quality and diverse varieties of rice, as well as its behaviour during cooking.

The Alliance between Carmencita and the Basque Culinary Center has the objective of putting into value the use of spices in the HORECA sector (Hotels, Restaurants and Caterings) and aims to teach their use to future chefs.

The course has been taught by Noelia Pascual, renowned chef known for the quality of her paella who has been awarded several times because of it, and Luis Arrufat, Kitchen Coordinator of Masters and Courses of Basque Culinary Center.

This collaboration is part of the collaboration agreement signed in February of 2024 between Carmencita and the Basque Culinary Center, whose goal is to enhance the innovation in the use of spices and the formation of future chefs.
