Carmencita is continuing its social efforts and commitment to people. Led by Jesús Navarro SA, and thanks to the generosity of volunteering and other collaborating businesses, the new AGS Solidarity Chamber building is now a reality. In its kitchens, volunteers from throughout the province cook for those most in need, having cleared the barrier of 700,000 meals delivered since the beginning of the pandemic.
AGS was born three years ago with the purpose of covering the basic needs of many people who were marginalized as a result of the COVID restrictions. Today, converted into the AGS Solidarity Chamber, it has been granted this new space for 25 years and has the support of institutions, businesses and anonymous collaborators.
Jesús Navarro Alberola, General Director of Carmencita and President of the AGS Solidarity Chamber, has recognised the work done by his team that has made this dream of solidarity possible. In addition, he recognises “the enormous work of all the volunteers, entrepreneurs and institutions, as well as Alicante’s hospitality sector and, of course, those anonymous people who contribute their time and work in helping the most disadvantaged”.
