Waldorf salad

“Where has this salad been all my life?”

You’re going to ask yourself that if you still haven’t tried it.

Because the Waldorf is not just any salad: it belongs to that exclusive club of salads that have their own name In this case the name of the New York hotel where it was first prepared in 1893.

The original version was prepared with lettuce, celery, nuts, apple and a dressing of mayonnaise and lemon. At Carmencita, we have eliminated the fresh celery and replaced it with our aromatic ground celery. And, to give the dressing a hint of spiciness, we have used our Salt with pepper and mustard grinder.
