You’ve still not decided to make focaccia?

Well, you should because it is a very easy recipe. With only flour, olive oil, leavening, water and salt you get a flat-bread crispy outside and soft inside. A dough that combines with black olives and cherry tomatoes to perfection. You can add whatever you want before baking it!

However, what’s never missing on focaccia are aromatic herbs.

We’ve used basil, thyme and a little salt. It tastes SO good!

Ingredients

500 g great strength 00 special pizza flour
Carmencita Mediterranean sea salt
12 g yeast
20 ml extra virgin olive oil
380 ml lukewarm water
Cherry tomatoes
1 teaspoon Carmencita Basil
1 teaspoon Carmencita Thyme

Preparation

  1. Mix the flour with salt and crumbled yeast. Add the olive oil, the lukewarm water and mix with a tongue, until the mixture is homogeneous.
  2. Rest the dough for 30 minutes and fold the 4 corners every 30 minutes for 2 hours.
  3. Spread, in a container with extra virgin olive oil, and cold ferment for 12 hours.
  4. Place carefully on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and insert your fingers into the dough to make the bubbles.
  5. Decorate with the cherry blossoms and a mixture of basil, thyme and olive oil.
  6. Season with sea salt and bake at 230 ⁰C for 40 minutes.
